Malaysia football team made a giant leap to 141st spot in the latest FIFA rankings released yesterday (13 March 2014), a results of their two matches against Philippines and Yemen earlier this month.
Malaysia was ranked 150th in the previous FIFA ranking. The Tigers also skipped seven rungs to the 22nd spot in Asia and ranked second in the south east Asia behind Vietnam (125) and ahead of Thailand (148) , Singapore (149) , Indonesia (154) and Myanmar (173).
Spain continue to be the top ranked team in the world followed closely by Germany, while Portugal and Colombia retain the fourth and fifth spots. World cup host remains at the ninth spot. -
